The event
What is Mastercard Hotelnight?
A weekend of cultural, creative and culinary events in the most beautiful hotels of Amsterdam, on 16 and 17 January 2027. You book a package with a hotel room, or you go without a hotel room with a passe-partout.
When will the programme be announced?
We’ll announce the programme in early December. It consists of cultural, creative and culinary activities. For some items, such as a dinner or a workshop, you need to reserve in advance. That’s only possible in the app. Sometimes you pay a little extra for it, for example for a brunch or a dinner.
Which hotels are taking part?
All participating hotels are on the Hotels page, with what you can do at each one during the weekend.
Will more hotels or hotel rooms be added?
In the run-up to the event, extra hotel rooms and hotels may be added. That depends on what the hotels can offer. Keep an eye on the app, the newsletter and our socials.
Who organises Mastercard Hotelnight?
Mastercard Hotelnight is organised by HBMEO, a creative communication agency in Amsterdam and Barcelona.
Booking a package
What is a Mastercard Hotelnight package?
A hotel room for two with two festival tickets at a better price. Booking a hotel room on its own isn’t possible: the package is the only way to stay at a participating hotel during Mastercard Hotelnight.
How do I book a package?
In the ticket shop or in the app. You’ll receive a confirmation of your booking by email, together with the two festival tickets. Check your spam folder too. If breakfast isn’t included, you can often add it straight away. Read the booking conditions below before you book: if you don’t meet them, your booking will be cancelled.
Who can book a package?
All Amsterdam residents, also without a Mastercard. A passe-partout without a hotel room is for everyone.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes. The person booking and both guests must be 18 or older on 16 and 17 January 2027.
How many packages can I book?
One per person. Duplicate bookings are cancelled automatically.
What does a package cost?
€ 230 for two people, including VAT and excluding booking fee. For that you get a double room and two festival tickets, at a better price than when sold separately. At some hotels breakfast is included; at others you can usually add it straight away.
What isn’t included in the package?
Travel, transport, parking, meals, drinks and hotel extras.
Do I pay tourist tax?
No, Amsterdam residents don’t pay tourist tax. If the hotel charges it by mistake, you can only reclaim it from the hotel.
What was the Mastercard Presale?
On Saturday 19 September, Mastercard cardholders from the Amsterdam region were the first to book a package via Priceless.com. Since Sunday 20 September, every Amsterdam resident can book a package, also without a Mastercard.
Do I need a Mastercard?
For the Mastercard Presale on Saturday 19 September you did: it was exclusively for Mastercard cardholders from the Amsterdam region. Since Sunday, every Amsterdam resident can book a package, also without a Mastercard. A single passe-partout is for everyone.
Passe-partout
Can I take part without staying the night?
Yes, with a passe-partout. They’re on sale from 5 October in the app and in the ticket shop, as an Early Bird offer, and give access to the entire programme on both days.
Where and when can I buy a passe-partout?
A passe-partout is the single festival ticket. It’s for everyone, also if you don’t live in Amsterdam, and gives access to the entire programme on both days. Since 5 October, it’s on sale in the app and in the ticket shop, as an Early Bird offer.
What does a passe-partout cost?
In the Early Bird offer, a passe-partout costs € 37.50, while stocks last. After that come the regular tickets: € 39.50 in the first release and € 42.50 in the second. The Last Chance Ticket costs € 49. All prices include VAT and exclude booking fee. We announce the start of each sales round via the newsletter and our socials.
Do I need a ticket for every part of the programme?
Yes, including a dinner or brunch during Mastercard Hotelnight. Hotels don’t sell tickets themselves. You reserve programme items with limited places in the app.
Paying and cancelling
Can I cancel or change my package?
No. Because of the greatly reduced price, the package is non-refundable. By booking, you agree that your payment is final and that changes or cancellations aren’t possible.
What does non-refundable mean?
That you can’t cancel the hotel room and that you won’t get your money back. This also applies to the two festival tickets in the package.
What is the booking fee?
Our ticketing partner CM.com charges a booking fee per booking, for a package and for single tickets. You’ll see it listed separately when you book.
What is Ticket Guarantee?
When you book, you can tick Ticket Guarantee. It’s a service from our ticketing partner that refunds you in the event of certain accidents or problems. It’s not required.
How do I pay during the weekend?
You pay contactless in the hotels.
