Café Jakarta is a restaurant on the IJ: from the sunny terrace you look out over the water, where boats sail past and in the evening the sun sinks behind the city centre. In the kitchen two worlds meet, on the spot where the shipping line to Jakarta once departed: Western ingredients with Eastern spices, Indonesian classics done their own way, and simply Western dishes too. If you want to taste everything, order the Tafel Jakarta, also available in a plant-based version. You can’t reserve for the terrace.
