Yamazato

Kaiseki by the Japanese garden

On the map →

Overlooking a Japanese garden, Yamazato, a Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, serves traditional kaiseki, Japanese dishes that change with the seasons. It was the first traditional kaiseki restaurant in the world to receive a Michelin star, and it still holds that star. For more than twenty years the kitchen has centred on the purity of Japanese seasonal ingredients and centuries-old techniques. The interior is understated, in natural wood tones, and the staff wear yukata.
