Café Americain is a classic art deco grand café on Leidseplein, from breakfast to cocktails at the end of the afternoon. There’s an all-day menu, a chef’s menu and afternoon tea, and later in the day cocktails with small dishes. The café is in the building of Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, which has stood on the square for more than a century. With a group, you can also dine there privately.
