In the Library ‘Or’, the library in the lobby of The Grand in Amsterdam city centre, you take afternoon tea from Thursday to Sunday beneath a gold-leaf lamp, in deep armchairs among books about art and the city. Designer Sybille de Margerie took her colours from Amsterdam itself: the dark grey of the cobblestones and the deep tones of the flower market. The Floral Afternoon Tea is sweet and savoury, with flowers as its theme, and every day you can drop in for cake with your coffee.
